Our Story

Durva Life was founded in 2024 with the goal of helping individuals suffering from complex health concerns, find long-term holistic solutions, especially for conditions like PCOS, menstrual irregularities, and other gynaecological issues. 



We formed a close partnership with our superstar team of scientific collaborators, who have expertise across different disciplines of science and a deep knowledge of Ayurveda, having read the original texts in Sanskrit to find the best formulations for our products. 


Our mission is to help our consumers globally achieve 10x better health outcomes and enjoy a significantly improved quality of life!

K Bala

Bala has spent more than 30 years helping some of the largest companies in the world (including Panasonic, Tata Telecom, New Mountain Capital, Infosys and more) achieve scale and success at different stages in their growth journey, first as Chairman and M.D of Lazard India, a top global investment banking firm, and then as Executive Chairman of his own investment bank, Kriscore Financial.  

Having worked closely with multiple founders and top CXO leadership across the world and in addition to founding his own investment banking firm, Bala understands first-hand the exciting challenges of startup life. He has been at the genesis of Durva Life, working and mentoring our scientific collaborators to help bring highly effective, safe solutions to our customers struggling with complex conditions like PCOS. Durva Life benefits greatly from his expertise in creating a combined legacy in business, science and Ayurveda that will help our customers achieve 10x better healthcare outcomes.

Aparna Krishnan

Hi I’m Aparna. Having suffered from PCOS, I know fully well how it can affect not just our physical wellbeing, but also our emotional core. I wanted to find a solution to tackle all round wellness to empower others like me to live their best lives, through holistic healthcare options.

I leaned on my own experience as a scientist and our team’s collective 130-year-old Ayurvedic legacy to identify the right formulations, both in efficacy and safety.


At Durva Life, we bring a strong, product-first thinking to our R&D and products. Transparency is key.

Aparna Krishnan

Scientific Collaborators

Dr. Narasimham Jammi, PhD

Dr. Jammi is the CEO of Jammi Pharmaceuticals. He is a Stanford-trained scientist, with a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Utah. He has also spent many years in drug development at a leading pharmaceutical company. 


Dr. Jammi comes comes from a family legacy in Ayurveda that is more than 125-years; he has personally studied texts in the original Sanskrit to develop our proprietary formulations

Dr. Anitha Balachander, PhD

Dr. Anitha has a PhD in Genetics from the University of Madras, after which she completed her postdoctoral research from Penn State University. 


She has also worked in a senior role at a leading pharmaceutical company before joining Dr. Jammi in developing holistic solutions, powered by Ayurveda and modern science, for different healthcare concerns.
