Welcome to Durva Life! We are proud to introduce our wellness solutions, rooted in a combination of the 3,000+ year old timeless wisdom of Ayurvedic practices and the precision of modern science, to create clinically validated supplements that have lasting impact.

At Durva Life, we believe in 100% science-backed Ayurveda.

While we may be new to market, we bring a fresh perspective that stands on the back of a 130-year-old Ayurvedic legacy. In addition to reading ancient texts (Charak Samhita, Sushurta Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya), our team has also taken the time to study them closely to understand how we can adapt those ancient learnings to present day. Coupled with our team’s collective expertise in science across pharmacology, biochemistry, genetics and drug development, we have a deep understanding of how to mix the modern with the ancient to create something magical. After all, the idea is to create natural remedies to manage hormonal imbalances.

For you to understand more, let’s jump into a quick crash course on how Ayurveda works. And most importantly, how to manage polycystic ovary syndrome treatment naturally.

The TLDR on Ayurveda

Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s life, through philosophy, diet, lifestyle and the use of medicinal herbs. This process of medicine is based on the idea that the universe is made up of five key elements - aakash (space), jala (water), prithvi (earth), teja (fire), and vayu (air). These five elements are found in different combinations across the three basic types of energy or principles that are present in every living person and thing: the doshas.

The doshas are defined as vata (movement), pitta (metabolism), and kapha (body’s structure). They are believed to influence every aspect of an individual’s physical, mental and spiritual state. Just like everyone has a unique fingerprint or DNA code, everyone has a unique dosha, making traditional Ayurveda practice an extremely personalized form of treatment.

Ayurvedic practitioners help their patients by putting them on specific diets and blends of raw herbs, aimed at balancing these doshas.

But how does this translate to a modern context?

When Ayurveda Meets Science…

So what role does ayurvedic medicine play towards curing PCOS?

Similar to allopathy, Ayurveda also has a defined set of ingredients that work through a defined mechanism, to solve a specific problem. Usually, that’s done on a case-by-case basis. Yet, through our team’s study of the texts and long-standing treatment of patients in our clinic, we have found that individuals going through the same types of conditions, typically have a similar imbalances in their doshas. What this means is that if you create a solution that addresses a specific issue, you are effectively targeting the right tissues and organs to address the issue at a systemic level across

different individuals. This same process is followed by pharmaceutical companies, when testing new drugs.

Additionally, like all pharmaceutical and scientific grade solutions, at Durva we ensure that all our products go through clinical validation and rigorous testing for safety and efficacy. We also ensure we stay true to our Ayurvedic learnings by using only whole herbs and not extracts, sourced from certified partners as intended in the texts.

Our science-backed Ayurvedic products bring to you the best of both worlds--timeless wisdom, lasting wellness.
